Kundapur: Man seriously injured as tanker collides with bike at Kumbhasi

Kundapur, Dec 30: The speeding gas tanker collided with a bike at Kumbhasi divider on national highways 66 on Wednesday evening, December 30, and seriously injured the bike rider.

The seriously injured bike rider has been identified as Vasudeva (50), resident of Kumbhasi Gopadi.

The bike rider was waiting to turn his Pulsar bike near the road divider in front of Kumbhasi Anegudde temple welcome arc. Meanwhile the speeding gas tanker arriving from Kundapur to Mangaluru turned to the right and collided head on to the bike. The bike rider was thrown to the road in the impact and has sustained serious injuries on his head and legs.

He was rushed to Koteshwar private hospital. 

The tanker driver left the tanker on the spot and fled. Kundapur traffic police arrived, cleared the vehicles and made way for traffic. 

A case has been registered in traffic police station.
