Secretaries presents ideas to PM on 'swasth bharat'


New Delhi, Jan 17 (IANS): A group of secretaries to the government presented their ideas and suggestions on "Swasth Bharat, Shikshit Bharat (Healthy India, Educated India)" to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, an official release said on Sunday.

The presentation was a follow-up to Modi's call to secretaries to come up with ideas for transformative change in various areas of governance. So far, four groups of secretaries have made presentations to the prime minister.

The release said that Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar and NITI Aayog Vice Chairman Arvind Panagariya were present during the presentation.

Several members of the audience gave their suggestions and observations on the subject after the presentation.
