Foggy Monday morning in Delhi, 25 trains cancelled


New Delhi, Jan 18 (IANS): It was a foggy Monday morning here with the minimum temperature recorded at six degrees Celsius, one notch below the season's average.

The Met Office has forecast a partly cloudy day ahead.

According to the Northern Railway, 25 trains were cancelled and 17 were running late due to fog in and around Delhi.

According to the weather office, the visibility was 800 metres and the humidity at 8.30 a.m was 97 percent.

The sky is likely to remain partly cloudy throughout the day and the maximum temperature will hover around 19.2 degrees Celsius, an India Meteorological Department official said.

Sunday's maximum temperature settled at 17.2 degree Celsius, three notches below the season's average while the minimum temperature was recorded at 9.6 degree Celsius, three notches above the season's average.
