Kasargod, Jan 18: Six persons including five from Kasargod were killed in a horrific accident in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh on Monday January 18.

The deceased have been identified as Devasya (65), his wife Tresiamma (62), their son Robins (38), his wife Bismol (29) and the couple's four-month-old child, all residents of Ujlampady in Delampady here.
The car driver, identified as Pawan of Andhra Pradesh, was also killed in the accident.
The family was travelling from Kottayam to Telangana when their car went out of control and hit the wall bordering the road, killing all six on the spot.
About 30 years ago, Devasya and his wife Tresiamma shifted from Kannur to Ujlampady and started rubber cultivation. Five years ago, the family shut their house in Delampady and shifted base to Andhra Pradesh.
Robins had started been running a school in Mahabubnagar of Andhra Pradesh for the past 15 years. About one-and-a-half-years ago, he got married to Bismol of Kottayam. The entire family had been to Kottayam for the baptism ceremony of the couple's child which was held on Sunday January 17. After the ceremony, the family left for Mahabubnagar the same night.
Robins had established Kerala Techno High School in Mahabubnagar after finishing his studies.
On receiving news of the accident, Robins' brother left for Andhra Pradesh.
The bodies have been kept in the mortuary of a hospital in Mahabubnagar. Family sources said that the mortal remains would be brought to Delampady after post-mortem.
