Mangaluru, Jan 20: It was a visual treat as budding fashion designers showcase their creations at the national-level youth fest ‘Design Fiesta 2016’ organized by Karavali Institute of Technology (KIT), Neermarga here on Wednesday January 20.
The event was inaugurated by Lata G Rao, director of G R Education Trust.
Addressing the gathering, S Ganesh Rao, founder and managing trustee of Karavali Group of Colleges said, "I would like to congratulate both the organizers and the participants on this occasion. I want to congratulate all the teams for their sacrifice, commitment and interest in the youth fest. You should have the spirit of competition. Everyone has the right to criticize in a democracy, but it should be realistic and not misused. When we have inferiority complex in us, we are not able to achieve anything and find fault in everything. I request all the youths to be enthusiastic and energetic and work towards achieving success.
"Too many facilities are making us self-centred. We should adapt to the changes in present time and not allow negativity to take charge of us. All of us should cultivate the spirit of nationalism and nation should be given the first priority always. Losing or winning is part of competition but we should participate in all the events with enthusiasm. Keep your spirit of enthusiasm alive. I wish all of you shine like stars in your lives," he added.
Prithvi, student of Karavali Institute of Technology, proposed the vote of thanks.
Trophies were unveiled by all the dignitaries on the occasion.
