Mangalore, Sep 8: A Youth Convention was organized by the Ramakrishna Mission, Mangalore Chapter here on Friday, September 7.
Speaking on the occasion Swami Bodhamayananda, Seer of the Ramakrishna Mission, Chennai urging the youth stated that young people should introspect in-order to understand their own strengths and limitations.
Quoting Lord Krishna in Bhagwad Gita, he advised youngsters saying “You are your own friend and your own enemy. Do not blame others for obstacles on your way. Instead search in yourself. You will know about your strength and limitation, which will help to shape a bright future.”
The Seer further spoke on how a healthy fusion of western intellect and eastern wisdom could help to achieve total development of mind, body and spirit.
According to him though 52% of the Indian population is young it lacked proper guidance for proper channelising of their enthusiasm and energy. As a result 40% of the youth suffers from psychic disorder and 23% of Bangaloreans are drug addicts, he rued.
