Moscow, Sep 8: Three Indian students were hospitalised following a fire in the hostel of Paediatrics Institute in St Petersburg in Russia.
"A room on the sixth floor of the seven storey hostel building caught fire last night. Three students from India were rushed to Research Institute of Emergency Medicine due to injuries caused by inhaling toxic fumes," Radio Mayak reported quoting fire-fighters in St Petersburg.
Their condition is said to be satisfactory now.
In all 46 students and staff were safely evacuated by the firemen. The fire took place at 0057 IST. Authorities have launched probe to ascertain the cause of fire.
