Mumbai, Sep 10: The feast of Nativity of Mary was celebrated with devotion by Konkani Catholic Association of St Francis De Sales Church Nallasopara here on Sunday September 9.

Fr Ronald Coutinho, director of Samanvaya, Mangalore led the procession of Infant Mary’s statue from Hotel Central Park along with the large number of Mangalorean faithful and blessed the new corn.

Children offered flowers in honour of Infant Mary.  Parish priest, Fr Jerson D’Souza, offered the Holy Mass along with Fr Robert Monteiro, Fr Nazareth D’Silva and Fr Francis Muller.

The founder's day celebration of Association was held after the Mass. Konkani Catholic Association president, Harry B Coutinho, welcomed the gathering.  Association director, Fr Jerson D’Souza honoured Fr Ronald Coutinho and presented blessed candles to the donors.

Secretary Patrick Frates, vice-president Gracy Pinto, treasurer Alwyn Francis D’Souza Shirva and executive-committee members Mary Veigas, Richard D’Souza, Ignatius D’Souza, Lilly Quadros, Leena Lobo, John Alva, Claude D’Silva, Violet Moraes, Lavina D’Souza, Leena Pereira and others were present.
