Mumbai, Sep 11: If sources are to be believed Anil Kapoor is playing a brash autorickshaw driver in his forthcoming Yashraj film, Tashan. Although much has not been revealed about the movie's plot, it is said to be essentially a road film and with Anil zooming around in his three-wheeler. For the role, the seasoned actor had to take driving lessons in an auto rickshaw before he started shooting.  A reliable source informs, "Yes, Anil plays a 'suave' autorickshaw driver who sports a tattoo and goes around with a shaven-chest."

Reportedly, Kapoor faced problems in pulling off his driver act in the vehicle. A unit member informs, "Obviously, actors are not accustomed to driving autorickshaws. Anil took some time to get used to driving one. So he had to take some lessons." The actor however, refused to divulge any details of his training sessions at the wheel of an autorickshaw.

Apparently, the actor is exercising restraint when it comes to talking about the film because he is working with Yashraj Films after a hiatus of 16 years. Kapoor had an ugly tiff with veteran filmmaker and producer Yash Chopra (of Yashraj Films) way back in 1992. After agreeing to work in Parampara (directed by Yash Chopra), Kapoor had opted out of the movie at the eleventh hour fearing that his role of an elderly gentleman would affect his image. An irate Chopra had sworn never to work with him. A reliable source close to Anil Kapoor informs, "Anil is extremely careful as he is working with the Yashraj banner after 16 long years. He has repented long enough for offending Yash Chopra earlier. He is simply abiding by their instructions and not talking about the film till the producers ask him to."

When quizzed about it Yashraj spokesperson Monika Bhattacharyya says, "I can't confirm anything right now. It's too early to talk about the film."
