Mangalore, Sep 13: Karavali group of colleges is all set to have a new campus at Neermarga, which is going to be the third campus of the group, a press release here informed.

The campus is situated at Neermarga, having an area of 50,000 sq feet building. The institute will start functioning from the current academic year, absorbing around 240 students in four branches of engineering. It has won the recognition of all India council for technical education (AICTE). The institute offers courses in information science and engineering and computer science engineering, electronics and communication engineering and electrical and electronic engineering.  For each course, a total 60 students will be admitted. The said college is affiliated to Vishweshvaraya Technological University and is recognised by the State government. 

The first phase of construction of the campus has been completed which includes laboratories, library, auditorium and other necessary facilities as per the norms of the university and AICTE and the cost of the project outlay for the first phase is Rs 6 crores. The second and third phase has an outlay of Rs 14 crores, which is expected to be completed in three to four years. This includes hostels for ladies and gents, staff quarters and indoor and outdoor stadium.
