Mangalore, Sep 14:  Renowned flutist Pravin Godkhindi will be performing a concert in Mangalore, at the TMA Pai Convention Centre here, on September 29 at 6.30 pm. This concert is part of the ‘Swar Sagar,’ an all Karnataka tour, a tour which is being undertaken  under the aegis of Aalap events and media, informed a press release here.

Further according to the release, the show is split into two parts of a unique format. The first part will be a classical performance by Pravin Godkhindi (32), Pt Venkatesh Godkhindi (60) and Master Shadaj Godkhindi (6). This would be the first of its kind with three generations of a single family playing flute on the same stage.

This show is expected to create new world record once the concert series begins.

The next part will be performances by the ‘Krishna’ fusion band of Pravin Godkhindi. VCDs and DVDs of the Mangalore concert which will be released on October 13 as ‘Swar Sagar - Pravin Godkhindi live in concert’. 

The tickets for the concert for music lovers are available at rates ranging from Rs 99 to Rs 199 to Rs 299, the release added.
