Mangaluru, Feb 12: With less than two days to go for Valentine's Day, right-wing outfit Bajrang Dal has issued a warning against any celebration in the city and cautioned that the district administration would be responsible if there was any trouble.
Bajrang Dal, which has time and again warned lovers against celebration of Valentine's Day on February 14 and many a time been in the news for confronting couples on this day, has issued a press note addressing the district administration this time.
"Bajrang Dal is opposed to the celebration of Valentine's Day in the name of love. The district administration should not give permission to any programme planned in the pretext of celebrating this day. Also, the administration should take action against couples who behave inappropriately in public places," Bajrang Dal urged in the press note that is signed by its district convenor Bhujanga Kulal.
"The district administration would be responsible for the consequences if couples are caught behaving inappropriately in malls, parks and beaches," the outfit warned.
Right-wing outfits like Bajrang Dal and VHP have expressed open opposition to the celebration of Valentine's Day claiming that it was against Indian culture, and that in the name of love, immoral activities take place on this day.
