Pushpavathi from Mavinakatte near here is the woman who found the jewellery and excelled in her honesty.
On Wednesday, Pushpavathi found a chain when she was walking on the road. She went to a jewellery shop nearby to check whether it was that of gold. The jeweller told her that it was indeed gold and weighed 8 sovereigns, the value of which could be estimated at Rs 1.7 lac.

A lady named Zarina had come to the police station earlier to complain that she had lost her chain. Police were happy to learn that the lost chain reached the police station without them venturing out in search of it. It all happened because of the exceptional honesty of Pushpavathi.
Police phoned Zarina to come to the police station to collect the chain.
