Mangaluru: Youth found hanging from tree at Court Road

Mangaluru, Feb 18: A youth was found hanging from a tree at Court Road here on Thursday February 18.

The deceased has been identified as Baiju Thomas (22) from Vellarikundu, Kasargod.

It is suspected that he might have committed suicide.

A white Ritz car bearing registeration number KA-19-MC-2208 was found at the spot. Sources said that Baiju had rented the car.

Baiju was a student of Srinivas School of Engineering, Mukka, and was staying at a PG facility in Mangalanagar, Bolar.

It is learnt on the night of Wednesday February 17, he had attended a birthday party and had left from there at around 2 am in the rented car. Police sources said that when the body was found on Thursday, he had been dead for about six hours.

Sources said that his family had been coaxing him to shift to Dubai, but he was reluctant.

Police arrived at the spot and investigated.

The body has been shifted to Wenlock hospital for post mortem.

    It is so sad that a young college student should end up his life this way. May the soul of Baiju Thomas rest in eternal peace. My sympathies to his beloved family members and friends. This seems to be a strange case and only after the police investigation is over, the exact cause of this death will come out.

    Sad day for the family. Of course Dubai should have been a safe and peaceful place had he been sent to due to the fact that the king there are able to support up bringing with monitoring and control mechanism in an excellent way. What poor educated mangaloreans don't understand is that more people in the world are self killed, than by any other terrorist or natural calamities. Education alone doesn't bring harmony if so neighboring Kerala would have been a heaven but the cancer from kerala is spread to mangalore.

    RIP.Its unfortunate. Suicidal Tendency is a psychiatric disorder needs more attention. It is a familial disorder which can be treated by counseling and medications. Usually you will never know when they will go for depression and commit suicide. Not like who threaten to commit suicide. These individuals even if they attempt suicide they will see to that they are saved. But patients with suicidal tendency will never reveal when they are going to commit suicide. Its unfortunate that its very difficult to identify as they appear absolutely normal.

    @gm,mangalore,then Police should see that crime area will not become a place for Foto session and more People come and gather as if it is a place of some feast,or attraction.They should send them away ,to give respect to the deceased.through that if any important evidence lying there can be spoiled,or taken away.some come if any valuables ,Money,jewellary etc are to be robbed.It Looks like a market place.People give respect to the deceased.dont click Fotos from dead one.why do you Need htis?why he undergone suicide is not sure.or something to do with Party?Police says he was dead Long before,as they say.well let us wait and see the post martum.lets pray for his Soul.Heartfelt sympathy to the Family.

    Very sad new...


    Now a days we read and listen lot of suicide news that also youngsters loosing their life themselves.

    In life problems comes. But every problems has solution too. Ending life is not a solution, that is a problem to others those who are living behind them.

    Parents, Education Institution and our Nation should give proper training to all youth how to overcome difficulties in life and buildup life.
