Mangaluru, Mar 7: New entrance arch of the Kadri Jogi Math donated by Lakshmish Bhandary, founder and managing director of Bhandary Builders was inaugurated here on Sunday March 6.
Bharaha Panth Mahanth Krishnanathji inaugurated the arch by unveiling the plaque and cutting the ribbon in the presence of Ataraha Panth Mahanth Somavarnathji and Mahanth Soorajnathji.
The arch has been constructed at a cost of approximately Rs 7 lac by Lakshmish Bhandary.
The Paryaya Raja Pattabhisheka (anointing) ceremony will be held on Monday March 7, where Yogi Sri Sri Nirmalnath will take over the responsibility of Kadali Math. This anointing ceremony is held once every 12 years. Swamijis belonging to the 12 sects of Nath Panth (Nateshwari, Ganganath, Kaplani, Bairagi, Sathyanath, Ayi, Dhariyanath, Ramanath, Kanhadi, Maan-nath, Pagal and Dwaja) elect the new 'Raja' in the presence of the president and vice-president of 'Akhila Bharath Varshiya Awadhuth Yogi Maha Sabha Bhek Bharaha Panth'. Yogi Sri Sri Nirmalnath was elected the new 'Raja' of Kadali Math in the Kumbh Mela of 2015.
Lakshmish Bhandary, member of parliament Nalin Kumar Kateel, Mangaluru south MLA J R Lobo, corporators Ashok D K, Shashidar Hegde and many other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
