While constructing the compound wall people must have veritied what actually is below the structure.how can they say now that it is legal and demolition is wrong . people of mangalore hwve suffered for about a week recently due such act now the corporation should act firmly without caring for political gimmicks. What panchayat was doing when the construction was carried out on encroached land?

    Jeevan,

Rich people don't build on 2-3 cents of land, their property extends beyond half an acre. For them no need comes to build over a pipeline path passing by.

Its people who test the law by coming on the pavement and then on the road inch by an inch. They continue till the officials come to raze it and then play a poverty card.

Whether Congi or BJP, encroachment is wrong. Legal/fair demolition shouldn't be criticised.
