Mangaluru, Mar 20: Unknown persons have defaced flexes carrying images of politicians from the district, in protest against the controversial Yettinahole project.

Faces of prominent politicians like state ministers, Ramanath Rai, U T Khader, Abhaychandra Jain, and also of union minister, D V Sadananda Gowda, were found to have been smeared with black ink in flexes hung at various spots in the city like Valencia and Kankanady.

'Jai Netravati' was found written in these flexes.

However, the policemen had no clue about who did it, nor was any complaint filed with them.
