Pune, Oct 4: The 4th annual day celebrations of Sri Guru Devanand Seva Balaga and Sri Vajramatha Mahila Vikas Kendra, Pune was held at Tilak Memorial Building, located on Tilak Road here on on Monday October 1.
Speaking on the occasion, Guru Devanand Swamiji said that the organizations are essential for the survival of religion. These organizations are expected to be society-oriented. If the children are given the taste of local culture when they small, the society will live longer and healthier.
He further said that Hindu community lies in need of enlightenment. Hindustan has been a lone country which has maintained the sacredness attached to culture. Moreover, the culture has to be followed for the progress of our country. Culture serves as the essence of life, he added.
Speaking about friendship he said that friendship is the proximity of hearts. Love and closeness are the essence of friendship. Friendship does not last among the people who have selfish motive. Friendship thrives among the people who are genuinely interested in mutual welfare. The control of senses by introspecting on our daily actions would sustain and contribute for better friendship.
Pushpa Poojary, executive president, Vajramatha Mahila Vikas Kendra, Pune unit was present on this occasion. Usha Kumar Shetty, Seva Balaga Pune president delivered the introductory speech. Secretary Nagriguttu Rohit Shetty presented the annual report. Vishwanat Shetty Chinchwad compered the programme. Harish Moodbidri proposed the vote of thanks.
Sri Guru Dev Seva Balaga Maharastra unit president advocate R D Suvarna, honorary secretary Petemane Prakash Shetty, treasurer Bhoja Shetty, Pune unit president Usha Kumar Shetty, Ranjit Kumar Shetty and other devotees gathered to welcome Sri Guru Dev Swamiji and Mathanandamayee.
Various entertainment events were also held as part of the annual festivities.
