Kundapur, Oct 7: The Rosary Credit Cooperative Society held its annual general meeting in the earlier week in “Kala Mandir” of Government Junior College, Kundapur.
The Society had declared a dividend of 10% to its members in accordance with the byelaws of the society. The meeting was presided over by A G Botelho. In his presidential speech, he announced that the society would shift its office to its new office next year.
Secretary Pascal D’Souza read out the proceedings of the past general body meeting. Legal advisers sharath Kumar Shetty, and Isidore D’Souza were present during the meeting.
Shetty, in his speech, expressed his confidence that the society would undoubtedly be on the path of progress and great success as one of the best co-operative societies of the district.
Kundapur parish priest Fr Antony Lobo, invoking blessings, said that the real assets of any Society were its members and that a tree must not merely a strong trunk but also several roots to feed the tree with water and minerals. Hence the Rosary Co-Operative Society would in future open several branches in the district.
