Mangaluru: Eve teasing of sister, brother attacks student

Mangaluru, Apr 9: A student of a college was attacked by a group in relation to eve teasing of a girl on Thursday, April 7.
The incident took place near SNM polytechnic in Moodbidri.

Shashwath is the person attacked by the group.

As per details of the case, a girl student, from second year computer science, was teased when she was coming out from her classroom. She phoned her brother Sooraj and informed him about this incident.

Sooraj came to the college compound at around 2.30 pm with his friends Nitesh and Sandeep. They found a student named Vignesh near the gate. They threatened Vignesh by showing the machete and asked where Akshay was. Shashwath who heard this asked them why they wanted to see Akshay. Angered by this question, Sooraj, Nitesh and Sandeep allegedly attacked Shashwath.

Shashwath has complained to the Moodbidri police. The police have registered the case against the accused and are investigating.

    Eve teasing is everywhere by Boys.When it becomes bit too much,girl should just tell him to stop it,otherwise she will inform authority.Usually it stops by then.Boys too have sometimes fear to be out of School.But inform brother to come with machete and a Group of guys like a dadagiri,is not at all a good idea.It goes only to criminal end.A bit of eve teasing should be ignored by Girls when not harmless is.

    The girl should have either lodged complaint to the College authorities or Police. Why to her brother? Such methods will complicate the issue. If everybody should have thought about our sisters all these happenings, incidents would not have taken place in the society.

    Such stories of Macchu..katti -Talvar in late 80s and 90s in Bedra...but surprisingly,that incident repeated!!!Eve teasing is considered to be atrocity against women which guarantees jail term but using of 'weapon of mass destruction is condemnable.With out informing college management,especially PRINCE,lady made a mistake.

    Eve-teasing also start in villages..like bedra.
    Effect of junk foods. Earlier childrens carrying home foods in tiffin..either ganjee with.uppad.

    hhhh....all the hell broke in villages and semi urban cities...coz they have lot of spare time for all these acts...urban people spends average 4to 6 hours on journeys to earn money to keep village family members happy.
