Mangaluru, Apr 26: A person was attacked with sharp weapons by five unidentified attackers with an attempt to murder on Monday, April 25.
Ibrahim Nafsan (26) is the person injured in the incident.
As per details of the case, Ibrahim works at dock in Mangaluru in a fishing related business. He was on his way to work by bike. His brothers followed once he left home. When Ibrahim reached near Veerabhadra temple, a gang of five persons appeared at once and attacked Ibrahim.
When Ibrahim tried to stop them, a machete touched Ibrahim’s hand and he lost his finger. Another machete hit Ibrahim’s leg and waist. Ibrahim who fell on the ground, shouted for help. He was later taken to hospital where he has been admitted with injuries.
A good security is in place in Ullal after Raju Kotian murder. Police presence could be found very near to the place of attack. The gang fled from the scene because police arrived within minutes after they heard Ibrahim shouting. Ibrahim's brothers also reached at the same time.
Ibrahim’s relatives have demanded the installation of CCTC cameras at sensitive areas of Ullal as another murder attempt had taken place at the place where Ibrahim was attacked.
It has been also observed that only innocents are targeted in Ullal. Some days back Raju Kotian who was murdered in the same area was an innocent too like Ibrahim who has been attacked now. Both are ordinary workers looking after their families.
A case stands registered at Ullal police station. Ullal police took a police march from Abbakka circle to Mogaveerapatna, Kotepura and Kodi.
