Mumbai, May 12 (Mid-day): As per the latest reports, Indian Olympic medal winning wrestler Sushil Kumar who was vying for a berth at this years Olympics has been omitted from the list and Narsingh Yadav will represent India in this sport.
As Sushil's name was missing from the list of probables which was forwarded to the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) for the upcoming Rio 2016 event starting in August.
Sushil Kumar, however, has been apparently asking for a trial shot instead of a berth directly. He is ready to battle it out with Narsingh for the spot at the Olympics.
Sushil won won bronze and silver medals in the 66kg category in Beijing 2008 and London 2012 respectively.
