Puttur: Man from taluk dies in accident at Riyadh

Puttur, May 25: A resident of Manthoor village in Savanur village lost his life in a road accident which occurred at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Monday May 23.

The deceased has been identified as Shaffi Savanur (30), son of Abubakker and Zoharabi couple from Manthoor. Zoharabi happens to be a former vice president of Savanur gram panchayat.

Shaffi was employed at Riyadh since the last several years. On Monday, the car in which he was travelling met with an accident, causing his instant death, it is gathered. Shaffi has left behind parents, two brothers, an a sister.
