Karkala, May 25: Neha Shetty, daughter of Dayanand Shetty and Savitha D Shetty from Jnanasudha PUC College, Kukkundoor, Karkala has secured the second rank in state with 595 marks in II PUC (Science) examination.
In an exclusive interview with Daijiworld.com, Neha Shetty said, “The PUC results have made me really happy. My ambition is to become a chemical engineer. I want to do my chemical engineering in NITK Surathkal.”
Neha Shetty's father Dayanand Shetty who works in Doha as mechanic also expressed joy on his daughter’s achievement.
Neha Shetty completed her primary and secondary education at Dr N Shankara Adyanthaya Memorial English Medium School Nitte.
Speaking about her achievement in PUC examination, she said, “If you work with dedication and confidence, nothing can stop you from success.”
“Sudhakar Shetty, president Jnanasudha PUC College is an inspiration for me who always supported me in my studies. During the examination, I used to read for 16 hours a day. My family supported me always. Sometimes when I scored less marks in examinations, they always motivated by saying ‘You can do it, do well next time’,” she said.
“Apart from studies, I am also good at painting and dancing. During my leisure time, I paint,” she added.
Speaking about question paper leak twice which put chemistry students in distress, she said, “When the question paper was leaked for the second time, I really felt bad and was tensed. My parents consoled me during that time. The government should take responsibility and conduct the exam in a systematic manner with proper security and do not put future of students in jeopardy.”
