Mangalore: ‘Apocalypse’ - Students' Inter-class Cultural Fest inaugurated at Fr Muller

Mangalore, Nov 3: Friday, November 2 was a momentous day in the history of Father Muller Medical College (FMMC), with the inauguration of the first student council.

Capt John P Menezes, CEO, Ericson and Richards and Dr Poornima Baliga, professor, Pathology, KMC were the chief guest on the occasion.

Speaking to the students Capt John Menezes stressed on the responsibility of the members of the student council, in setting an example to all the other students.

He also encouraged all young doctors to remember that their main focus should always be their patients and work for the betterment of society.

The Mullerscope magazine for the last quarter was released by the presiding officer, Fr Patrick Rodrigues, director, FMMC, on this day.

Dr Poornima Baliga inaugurated the ‘Apocalypse’, inter-class cultural fest which was highlighted by means of a spectacular audiovisual program.

Inaugurating the fest, she emphasized the need for such cultural events in a medical college which helps to shape up the all round personality of the students. 

The first event in the cultural fest was the pot pourri competition consisting of an amalgamation of popular games like Dumb Charades, Tom, Dick and Harry and Pictionary conducted by Dr Karthik Shetty, assistant professor, department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics.
