Mumbai: Francis Cascia's 'Mhataro Chorbela' Attracts Scores

Mumbai, Nov 4: The much awaited Konkani comedy play 'Mhataro Chorbela' written and directed by veteran Francis Fernandes Cascia made its maiden entry stage show at Mira road at the St Josephs Church ground here on Saturday, Nov 3, 2007.

The show as expected attacted over 1500 huge audience, and was succesful in keeping the audience enthralled with humor and sentiments. In all another 6 shows around Mumbai will be staged in the coming weeks. The play was organized by the Konkani welfare association of Mira road which also celebrating its 10th Anniversary at St Josephs Church hall.








 

Association president John Crasta welcomed the gathering. St Joseph’s church parish priest Fr Rudolf D’Souza presided over the function. Henbridge Hospitality Pvt Ltd and Little King - group of hotels, managing director Maxim M Mathias and Malyka Aplyanses Pvt Ltd, CMD Gilbert Baptist were the chief guests present.

Founder of Frank production, Mumbai and famous theater artist Francis Fernandes Kassiya’s novel ‘Vichnar Bharpa’ was released by Fr Rudolf D’Souza. Honoree president Neri Nazareth made the introduction of those felicitated.







On this occasion Francis Fernandes of Kassiya was felicitated for his tireless service and dedication to the Konkani theatre and to the community. Maxim Mathias felicitated him and gave him a certificate of merit.

Joy Paladka led the programme and honoree secretary proposed the vote of thanks.
