Mumbai, Jun 27: Havyaka Welfare Trust in their annual programme held at Ghatkopar west on Sunday June 26 presented Karki Venkataramana Shastri Soori award for 2016 to senior author, scientist, researcher, BSKB association mouthpiece Gookulavani monthly editor Dr Vyasaraya Ninjooru.

















Well known Kannada-Sanskrit scholar and researcher Vishnu Bhat Padekal was the chief guest at the programme. Havyaka Welfare trust president, Shivakumar P Bhagwat presided over the programme held under the cooperation of Karnataka Malla Kannada daily newspaper. Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangha Maharashtra president Chandrashekar Palethady and dramatist Dr Bharathkumar Polipu were present as guests of honour.

Trust vice president Sanjay Bhat, honorary chief secretary Narayana R Akadasa were on the dais. Divya Hegde and Prada Hegde sang a prayer. Award committee convener Keshava Hegde welcomed the gathering. Shashikala Hegde gave the keynote address. Umesh Hegde read the wishes. Chidananda Bhagwath read the letter of appreciation. Poornima Akadasa introduced the guests. Trust organ 'Havyaka Sandesha' monthly editor advocate Amitha S Bhagwath compered the programme. Award committee convener Thanuja Hegde proposed the vote of thanks.
