Regi Joseph, abducted Kerala man in Libya, released


New Delhi, Jul 6 (PTI): India has secured the release of its national Regi Joseph who was abducted in March this year in Libya, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said today.

"Indian Embassy in Libya has secured the release of Regi Joseph - an Indian national from Kerala. He was abducted in March this year".

"This has been possible with the efforts of Azar A H Khan our Ambassador in Libya," Swaraj said in a series of tweets.

Joseph, who hails from Kozhikode in Kerala, was working as a computer engineer near the Libyan capital, Tripoli. He had been there for two years with his nurse wife and three children.

    These are not terrorists but rival governments in civil war torn Libya. All this is because of the regime change intervention carried out by the Western powers led by the United States five years ago.

    It's called how BJP government working giving importance to all religious places. Our external ministry proved far better than earlier governments. Modiji's visit to different countries bearing fruits slowly.
