Kundapur, Nov 17: Under the joint auspices of Saligrama-Koteshwar Veeramaruthi Gym and Karnataka Rakshana Vedike Thekatte unit, a state-level powerlifting championship was inaugurated at Koteshwar near here on Friday November 16 night.

Brahmavar MLA K Jayaprakash Hegde inaugurated championship while Kollur temple managing trustee Kolluru Temple managing trustee Krishnprasad Adyanthaya presided over the function.

Kundapur taluk panchayat president Raju Devadiga, Thekatte GP president Malyady Shivaram Shetty, Dayanadh Hegde, Dr Sudhaker Nambiyar, Sathish Kumar Kudroly, AC Sajiva, Bharath Kumar Shetty, Prakash Shetty, Ramchandra Ganiga and Gopal Shetty present on the occasion.

Gopal Shetty welcomed the guests. Chandrasheker Beejady compered the programme. Ganapathi T Shriyan proposed vote of thanks.
