Mangalore: Children's Day Observed in Valencia Church

Mangalore, Nov 19: St Vincent Ferrer Church located in Valencia observed ‘Children’s Day’ on Sunday, November 18 evening.

Earlier, Dr Prakash Saldanha, well-known pediatrician presented a talk on children’s health.
 
Later the prize distribution ceremony for the outstanding achievers was held. Dr Jacinta D’Souza, principal, Roshni Nilaya, School of Social Work, distributed the prizes. Fr Maxim Rosario, assistant parish priest, announced the names of winners of ‘Children’s Day’ competitions.

Arunraj Rodrigues, vice-president of the parish council and Flavia Sequeira, secretary, were present on this occasion.

Fr Bonaventure Nazareth, parish priest, welcomed the gathering. Rita Fernandes proposed vote of thanks. Sandra Lobo compered the programme.

Later the children presented cultural programme for about 3 hours and enthralled the gathering. Hundreds of parishioners along with children participated and enjoyed the programme.

    Every Parish in M'lore has to organize cultural programs as in Valencia parish....it's fun...
