M'lore: RGUHS Women’s Basketball Tournament Inaugurated

Mangalore, Nov 19: The inaugural function of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) single zone inter-collegiate women’s basketball tournament was held at the Father Muller Medical College (FMMC), here on Monday November 19 morning at the college grounds.

The honourable chief guest Dr M Mohan Alva, chairman, Alva's Education Foundation inaugurated the tournament. Fr Denis D’Sa gave a warm welcome to the chief guest and the participants.  Dr B Sanjeev Rai, dean, FMMC presided over the function. Dr Ramesh Naik, sports coordinator proposed the vote of thanks.

Teams from St Johns Medical College, Bangalore, MS Ramiah Medical College, Bangalore, Rajarajeshwari Medical College, Bangalore, Father Muller Medical College, Mangalore, Sri Devraj Urs Medical College, Kolar and Krishnadevaraya College Of Dental Sciences, Bangalore will participate in the two-day tournament. The winners will be declared after the final game, at the valedictory function on Tuesday November 20.
