Army foils infiltration bid, three intruders killed


Jammu, July 16 (IANS): The army on Saturday foiled an infiltration bid across the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district, killing three intruding guerrillas, officials said.

"Alert troops detected movement of terrorists in Saujiyan area of the LoC in Poonch district today (Saturday). The group of heavily-armed intruders was challenged upon which they fired at the troops triggering a gunfight," a defence sources told IANS.

"Three terrorists have been killed in this operation and searches in the area are going on," the source said.
