Udupi: Zee Channels go off Air owing to Conflict with UCN

Udupi, Nov 21: A conflict between Multi-System 0perator Universal Communication Network (UCN) in the city and Zee Turner Ltd has resulted in the disappearance of the said channels in the city.

The Zee turner Ltd is the company possesses the right for distributing 34 TV channels.

According to a press release, Zee turner has alleged that the UCN is catering its services to more number of customers than actually declared by it.

The operator did not follow the regulations and also failed to produce a list of its affiliate / cable operators, it alleged.

Cartoon Network, CNBC, Zee Cinema, Zee Kannada, HBO, Zee TV and Pogo are the channels that went off air.

As a result, the consumers, in spite of paying the full amount to the operator are deprived of the above channels, the press release added.

    Cable operaters do not mind enhancing the charges at a wink. But care less to the woes of consumers. Udupi cablers are not an exception. It happens all over the state.
