Youth associated with Zakir Naik's foundation arrested

Mumbai, Jul 22 (PTI): A joint team of Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad and Kerala Police on Thursday arrested a youth allegedly associated with controversial Islamic preacher Zakir Naik's foundation in connection with a case registered in Kochi.

A senior police official said Arshid Qureshi, who was associated with IRF Foundation of Zakir Naik, was nabbed from Navi Mumbai.

A case under IPC sections 120 B (criminal conspiracy) and 153 A (promoting enmity between groups) as well as under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act was registered in Kochi.

He was produced before the Belapur court in Navi Mumbai which granted Kerala Police his transit remand till July 25.

Kerala Police will now produce him in a court in Kochi.

    Zakir Naik is a criminal should be deported to Bangladesh and hanged there for influencing young generation towards killing each other. Person who was challenging everyone for debate now hiding like rat in saudi. Now it's clear who is behind his pro terrorism preaching. Saudi should deport him back as he is very dangerous to any society.

    If he is innocent why is he hiding like Dawood and Vijay Mallya ? Let him come back and defend himself in a court of law ? By your logic then even Vijay Mallya is innocent and being hounded by the Indian state.

    Since he is framed and fabricated under murderers govt and paid media anything can happened to him at this moment back home.By the way he is not wanted in India unlike Mallya and Dawood. If you are genuinely serious about bring him back, ask the murderers ruling in the centre to file the case against him and pressurize saudi govt for extradite. But unfortunately as of today no agency have collected any proof of hate speech from his videos, so they trying to arrest innocents on accusation basis only. As of now the flop show is on....

    Good for community. Dont say its RSS conspiracy. All who are backpacking to syria are from your community. U just cant deny it. If people are brainwashed to go to syria then just imagine how many might have brainwashed to do un holy works in India. Its revealed how ZN diverted fund for his real estate business. Its also surprising that ZN is extending his home coming. Community should aware of the danger of propagating a particular sect which has lead to many anti community organisation.

    do u even know what is the real case?! he said, RSS killed Gandhi - and they put a defamation case. court asked come and prove it or face legal action. whats wrong in this?
    he talks ill about RSS all the time. but murder/conspiracy etc if you make allegations, you have to substantiate.

    now togadia - whatever he says, go put it in court and wait for action. court acts in transparent manner and I wish somebody puts a case on him and he can defend it or face jail.

    Zakir's case is requested by bangaldesh and they are tracking him. Make yourself a party if you think he is innocent and defend him in court.. get it?

    Which police or court summoned rss speech persons but same court police took the custody of akbaruddin owaisi or Imran masood for the similar cases.zakir naik was cleared from the state intelligence beurae but he has to face the trial just because he propagates truth as per authentic scriptures .Two plus two is equals to five sometimes proved in many cases like akshardham incident
