Kasargod: Two held, 3.5 kg ganja confiscated

Kasargod, Jul 27: Officials of narcotics cell of Kerala arrested two persons and seized a car they were travelling in. 3.5 kg of ganja was seized from their possession.

The arrested youth have been identified as B H Aziz (29), a resident of Bedadka Palakunnu and Ibrahim Khaleel (29) from Bekal. Their associate, Ummer Farooq (20) from Bendichchal, who was also with them in the car, succeeded in fleeing during the raid, it is gathered.

The raid was conducted by the town station sub-inspector, Ranjith Raveendran, and Vidyanagar station sub-inspector, P Ajith Kumar. Reportedly, the duo had planned to transport ganja to a foreign country. The police have claimed that during their investigation, they were given to understand that the ganja was being taken to Mangaluru for being handed over to a passenger who was bound to take a flight abroad on Tuesday night.
