Kundapur, Jul 27: The ordinary meeting of the Kundapur town municipal council was a demonstration of political friction between members. However 17 agendas were read and approved in between arguments.

While preparation to read the agenda was on after distributing free uniforms to 396 children from 19 Anganwadis, former president Kalavathi took up the problem of the landless. When the vice president Rajesh Kaveri answered that sites had been identified at two places, some members insisted on the president to speak. The president Vasanthi Saranga requested for discussions on pro development. The
opposition members did not like the answer and there were heated arguments between Ravi Kala and Vasanthi Saranga.

The president tried to pacify the members by asking them to sit. As there were arguments relating to various matters, 17 items in the agenda were read and approved. The opposition members however shouted slogans in the well of the house.

President Vasanthi Saranga enquired as to why everybody had enmity towards her. "Political vengeance should not block development," she said.
