ICYM, Kuntalnagar holds 'Yuva Samagam 2016– One day with the Lord'

Udupi, Jul 28: On account of the Year of Mercy, a unique programme 'Yuva Samagam 2016 – One day with the Lord' by ICYM the city's deanery, was held on July 24 at St Antony Church premises, Kuntalnagar. The programme was held for the youth aged between 18 and 28.



























The morning session began at 9.30 am with registration and breakfast. The programme was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp. The first session was conducted by Redemptorist priest Fr Eugene D'Silva, Fr Prem Prakash and team.

The session witnessed very good participation from the youth as they took active part in the adoration, confession and Holy Eucharistic celebration.

The afternoon session began at 1.30 pm and was handled by CFCI (singles) Bengaluru team. The session included group sharing, action songs and various other activities.

The valedictory ceremony was held at 4.00 pm. Fr Fred Mascarenhas, parish priest, Mother of Sorrows Church, here in his presidential speech expressed his joy and gratitude to the youth for taking the programme seriously and for participating in large numbers.

Former president of ICYM Udupi deanery, Idving Suares and former secretary, Felina D’Souza were felicitated at the programme.

Fr Denis D’Sa, parish priest Kuntalnagar, Fr Royson D’Souza, director ICYM Udupi deanery, Fr Lawrence Cutinho, Fr Fredrick D'Souza, Valerian Mathias, Mothu D’Souza, Wilfred Lewis, Valita Lobo were present.

ICYM Udupi deanery president Vinyl D'Souza welcomed the gathering and secretary Janet D’Silva proposed the vote of thanks.

Viola Mendonca of Kuntalnagar compered the programme.
