Udupi, Jul 31: In an accident which occurred in Padubidri town in the district on Saturday July 30 morning, a motor bike rider was killed after an express bus knocked him down.

Sambhram Bhandary (24) from Kuntalpady, Karkala, was moving towards Mangaluru from his hometown in his motor hike. Sambhram, employed in a company in Mangaluru, was returning to Mangaluru after visiting his native place. Tragedy struck at around 8.30 am as soon as he reached Padubidri when the left side of an express bus moving towards Mangaluru from Udupi brushed against the right side of his motor bike.
