Mangaluru: Sarvotham Shetty chosen for Mulki Sundaram Shetty Award

Mangaluru, Aug 6: The Mangaluru zonal unit of Vijaya Bank Workers Organization and Officers Union has chosen Sarvotham Shetty Abu Dhabi for Mulki Sundaram Shetty Award. The award has been instituted in the name of Mulki Sundaram Shetty, who is credited with leading Vijaya Bank through the path of phenomenal growth to reach a position of eminence among banks.

Sarvotham Shetty who is the president of Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha is serving many cultural associations in UAE in different capacities. He has already been bestowed with Karnataka Rajyotsava Award, Aryabhata Award, and other several awards.

Shetty is currently residing in Abu Dhabi

A media release to daijiworld said that the said award will be conferred on Sarvotham Shetty at a function being held in the city on September 11 this year. It also added that on this occasion, the road from Ambedkar Circle near Jyothi Talkies to Catholic Club in the city will be christened as 'Mulki Sundaram Shetty Road'.
