Parameshwar celebrates birthday at Tirupathi temple

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Aug 6: State home minister and president of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee, G Parameshwar, who had celebrated his birthday last year by visiting Goddess Chamundeshwari temple, is on a visit this time to Lord Venkataramana temple at Tirupathi.

Parameshwar, whose birthday falls on August 6, went to Tirupathi in the company of his wife on Friday evening. He stayed here at night. He will be having special Darshan of the Lord on Saturday and return to the city the same afternoon.

It may be recalled that Parameshwar had requested his fans and well-wishers not to celebrate his birthday or to hang banners and buntings and also not to release advertisements on this occasion as the state is grappling with issues like police atrocity on protesting farmers and death of chief minister's son, Rakesh.
