Mangaluru, Aug 6: Father Muller Medical College Hospital (FMMCH) has added a new feather on its cap by getting National Accreditation Body For Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) reaccreditation for its laboratory for the third consecutive term. The accreditation certificate was handed over to Fr Patrick Rodrigues, director FMMCH by Fr Richard Coelho, administrator FMMCH at a ceremony held at FMMCH on Friday, August 5.
Addressing the gathering Fr Richard Coelho said, "The process of getting NABL accreditation is easy but getting reaccreditation is not easy. Continuing and giving that quality after the accreditation is difficult. Usually after getting accreditation, it gets worn out but we have successfully managed to get reaccreditation for the third time. This has been possible because of the experienced staff, latest equipment and technology. This was made possible by the collective team effort by all the staff. I thank everyone for their efforts and request them to continue the service in the coming days too."
Fr Patrick Rodrigues in his presidential address said, "What makes FMMCH different from other hospitals is the commitment of our staff and faculty. It is only because of the commitment of our staff, we have been able to achieve this accreditation for the third time. I congratulate the entire team who were involved in this accreditation process. There is always scope for development when we do not give up. I thank all people on behalf of the institution who have made this possible."
Dr Jayaprakash Alva, dean of FMMC welcomed the gathering while Dr Umashankar T, lab director thanked the gathering. Dr Shivashankara A R, quality manager of FMMCHL narrated the journey of NABL accreditation.
