Mangaluru: ‘Vanamahotsava’ celebrated at Father Muller College

Mangaluru, Aug 6: The NSS unit of Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College celebrated ‘Vanamahotsava’ the forest festival on Friday August 5.

The official programme took place at the botanical garden in the campus. The programme began with prayer song by III and IV BHMS students invoking the blessings of Almighty.

Fr Sylvester Vincent Lobo was the chief guest for the function. Dr Revan B L, the NSS Officer, FMHMC welcomed the gathering.

Fr Vincent Vinod Saldanha, Administrator and Dr Shivaprasad, principal graced the occasion.

The chief guest in his message inspired the students to plant more trees and conserve the forest. Dilraj ginal year student NSS representative gave the vote of thanks.

The hallmark of the celebration was tree plantation by the dignitaries and NSS representatives, Sumithra, plants caretaker. The event was followed by Institution anthem and distribution of sweets.

The MC for the event was Adlin Gonsalves.
