Bantwal, Aug 12: The 48 days of annual Yajna Yaga (religious rituals) which is held during the month of July and August every year at Manila Sridama Srimahalaxmi Kshetra near here concluded on Friday, August 12 with Varamahalakshmi pooja.
The various rituals including Srilaxmi pooja and Kanakadara Yaga had started earlier in the Kshetra.
Instead of performing all the pujas in a single day, the Kshetra performs pujas on every day during the duration of 48 days. "It is better to do it with great devotion. It is also more meaningful. Rising early every morning, chanting the various hymns, meditating and offering prayers brings about a discipline in life and increased belief in the Almighty." said the chief priest at the Kshetra.
He also said that performing the Yajna Yagas help in the betterment of the world as a whole, explaining the several benefits of spirituality to the devotees.
Sri Varamahalakshmi Vratacharane, Danvantari homa, Ashtalaxmi Yaga, Kanakadari yaga, Ganapati homa and Samuhika Kumkumarchane among others were also part of the 48 days rituals.
