Enthusiastic response to BJP’s midnight Freedom Run for Bharat

Bengaluru, Aug 12: As many as 10,000 youths from various parts of city have registered themselves to take part in the Midnight Freedom Run – RUN FOR BHARAT – organised by State BJP on the intervening night of August 14 and 15 in Bengaluru.

State BJP Yuva Morcha General Secretary Thammesh Gowda, has in a press release said, the Freedom Run starting from Freedom Park will have State BJP President B.S. Yeddyurappa as the chief guest.

BJP State General Secretaries Aravinda Limbavali, Shobha Karandlaje and senior party leader R Ashok will also be present.

“There is every possibility of several veterans from the Army, Navy, Air Force and para military forces taking part in this patriotic event and to flag off the Run for Bharat,” Thammesh Gowda said.

He said the BJP Yuva Morcha and the IT cell are sure to reach the target of mobilising 15,000 youths for this important event.

The event has been jointly organised by Yuva Morcha and the IT cell of the BJP.

This Midnight Freedom Run is a part of the nation-wide “Independence 70 Tiranga Yatra” (Azaadi 70), an ambitious program given by Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi in order to spread and strengthen the spirit of nationalism and patriotism throughout the country by holding various kinds of events.

He said the Midnight Freedom Run will start from Freedom Park on Palace Road and will cover three kms. After unfurling the national flag at the stroke of 12 in the midnight and singing the national anthem, the Run will start. The event will end with the completion of the three-kms run.

Cultural program will commence at 10 PM that consists of singing of patriotic songs by eminent sugam Sangeeth singers, skits and dance that would highlight India’s cultural heritage and unity in diversity, Thammesh Gowda said.
