SJEC students organize clean energy drive at St Raymond’s High School

Mangaluru, Aug 18: An awareness programme on the importance of renewable energy sources, such as solar, wind, tidal and geothermal, was conducted by the electrical and electronics engineering students of St Joseph Engineering College – Vamanjoor, here at St Raymond’s English Medium High School on August 17.




This programme is an initiative by the students’ association EELS of St Joseph Engineering College-Vamanjoor, to create awareness about clean energy among the student community in the city.

The programme consisted of presentations on different aspects of electrical technology like power generation, power utilization and distribution. The programme also had practical demonstrations of experiments such as dark detecting circuit, heat sensing circuit, electronic piano, fuse characteristics, lamp control circuits, LabVIEW based Rover etc. Deepesh Kanchan and Chaithra Shetty, faculty from the electrical & electronics engineering department at SJEC guided the students in their endeavour.
