Modi crossed 'red line' by talking about Balochistan: Pakistan

Islamabad, Aug 18, 2016, (PTI) : Pakistan today said Prime Minister Narendra Modi crossed the "red line" by talking about Balochistan and asserted that it will "forcefully" raise the Kashmir issue at the UN General Assembly session next month.

"The Prime Minister strongly pleaded the case of Kashmir during General Assembly session last year and we will again forcefully raise the issue," Foreign Office Spokesperson Nafees Zakaria said.

Zakaria, in his weekly news briefing here, also took strong exception to the remarks by Prime Minister Modi on Balochistan.

Prime Minister Modi had brought up Pakistani atrocities on people of Balochistan and PoK in his Independence Day speech.

"It is the violation of the UN Charter...He (Modi) crossed the red line by talking about Balochistan," Zakaria said.

He alleged that India was involved in subversive activities in Balochistan and Karachi. Zakaria also claimed that India was referring to Balochistan to cover up its human rights violations in Kashmir.

Zakaria said Prime Minister Sharif will lead the official delegation at the General Assembly session. He said the UN Secretary General and most of the UN members had already been informed about the "precarious situation" in Kashmir.

Zakaria said the UN and international community should remind India that it must fulfil its commitment to give the right of self-determination to the people of Jammu and Kashmir as per Security Council resolutions.

He said the issue was still outstanding on the Security Council agenda for more than six decades.

"Pakistan strongly condemns the continuing use of force by India and violation of human rights. The brutal use of force has killed at least 80 people and at least 100 have been blinded by use of pellet guns," Zakaria alleged.

He said the international community and human rights organisations should call upon India to stop use of "brute force" in Kashmir.

Asked about Indian taking action against Amnesty International, he said it showed how India was treating the issue of human rights in Kashmir.

Zakaria said Pakistan had proposed to India to hold talks on Kashmir. However, he refused to confirm if India had responded to the proposal.

When asked about any conditions India had put before them for starting dialogue, the spokesman said Pakistan proposed that Kashmir should be the focus of the talks.

Zakaria also claimed that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was aimed at economic development of not only Pakistan and China but the entire region. He said India's objection to such a beneficial economic project was beyond comprehension.

Zakaria said Pakistan had invited finance ministers of SAARC countries for the next week meeting but so far was waiting for confirmation on Arun Jaitley's participation.

bloody, they are talking about red line ? Modi has crossed the red line long back and almost came near your head with a gun point. Be prepared for the final match. Very soon this issue of Pakistan will be erased along with Pakistan getting erased from the geographical map. enough is enough. Very strategic war Modi declared, after giving them all possible options which they didn't realize and rejected. Now very soon there will be a climax step... be prepared.

What red line Pakistan is talking about?. Who sent terrorists into Kashmir ? Who sent terrorists to Mumbai? Who is sheltering Dawood? India should not only give moral support but also give their freedom fighters arms. Do exactly like what Pakistan does. Even though Pakistan is bankrupt and living on charity from US and Saudi and few other countries, they spending billions on arms and training and exporting terrorists all over the world while their citizens are starving and don't have basic amenities .

You are commenting as if Pakistan was restraining from talking about Kashmir before Modi spoke about Balochistan.

In fact this is a master stroke by Modi because of which Pakistan will think twice before taking about Kashmir as they have understood that it's no more one way traffic as it was earlier. Now if they talk about Kashmir, they will be rebutted with POK and Balochistan.

India should recapture POK again. It is high time militancy is crushed with strong hands and for this to happen, army needs to be given complete power and authority for 2 years. Start flushing out militants from each nook and corner of Kashmir. Those who have sympathy for Pakistan, give them a one-way ticket to Pakistan (hell). Remove special status of Kashmir and remove other privileges and let there be common rule for all. We cannot have any more appeasement in the name of religion. If there is war with Pakistan, let there be war but this time a permanent solution. If Pak uses nukes, 25% India will be affected but on the other hand if India retaliates whole Pakistan will be wiped out from world map. I do not think Pakistanis are so foolish to use nukes.

We have to teach Pakistan about Laxman Rekha.....First time after the creation of Pakistan I came to know that they also have a red line....!
After the Faisalabad attack on innocent school children Pakistan hanged more than 3 thousand prisnors who were on the death penalty line...and now Saleh log teaching us about human rights...? Mr.Modi adopted a beautiful diplomatic offensive against Parkinstan which they never even in dream thought...
For 69 years we were defending Kashmir and suddenly now we are in the driving seat and Pakistan will pay for that. We need Modi for another 10 years to clean up the mess on the India-Pakistan boarder......!

pakistan is free to raise kashmir issue in united nations.no one cares or hears if a failed and terrorist country like pakistan where minorities were 21% during 1947 have been reduced to 2% now speaks as they know about pakistans track record in human rights.whole world knows the atrocities committed by pakistan army on hapless kashmiris in pok and balochis in balochistan.un has already given statement that kashmir is a bilateral issue and it will not interfere in this matter.usa has also told the same thing about this issue.so matter is finished.usa and whole western world want worlds largest market that is india to sell thier products and who cares about a terrorist nation like pakistan when it gives sermons about human rights.hahahha.it will be like devil quoting scriptures.india does not worry a bit bcoz it knows that un does not have any authority in this matter and un has also clarified the same publicly several times.even after another 70 years let pakistan utter kashmir, kashmir everywhere.by that time india will be come superpower.lolz
