Mandya, Aug 19: After a couple fought with each other, the husband killed his wife and two children by asphyxiating them. He then hanged himself. The incident occurred at Malagondanahalli near the big banyan tree in Bengaluru (south) taluk.

In this incident, Manjula (28) from Malagondanahalli, and and her children, Vijay (7) and Shreya (3) were killed. Sathish (35) was the husband who ended his own life on Thursday morning, after killing his wife and children who were asleep on Wednesday night.

The incident came to light when Manjula's sister visited the house, policemen said.

The couple had fallen in love and married. Of late, Satish came home drunk, which gave rise to quarrel. On Wednesday night, Satish fought with wife, and killed wife and children by tightening a towel around their necks before hanging himself.

A case about the incident was registered in Kumbalagoodu police station.
