Accused produced in Kasargod court for using fake credit card

Kasargod, Aug 22: Mohammed Sabid (29), resident of Talangere, arrested in connection with cheating in a petrol bunk by using fake credit card, was produced in Kasargod court on Monday, August 22. Later, he was handed over to Kasargod police for further investigation.

Police have received several complaints against him of cheating by using his fake credit card. He had duped after filling petrol in his car at a petrol bunk in Kasargod Chowki and produced fake credit card for Rs ten thousands. Petrol bunk owner had complained about it to Kasargod police.

Mohammed Sabid was earlier employed in gulf. Police said that he made the credit card dubiously and used the details of others cards to prepare fake credit cards.

Police have recovered four such cards from him. He had become a member of gang which used to prepare fake credit cards in Dubai.

He used to obtain details of genuine credit cards after they were used in shops and other places and transfer the details in fake machines. He used to prepare fake credit cards with those details and cheat during purchases.

Police informed that he has duped several businesses in Cochin after returning from Dubai.
