Mangaluru: Rain makes comeback in coastal Karnataka

Mangaluru, Aug 24: Rainfall, which lost steam since the last several days, made a strong comeback on Tuesday August 23. The rain, which started early in the day on Tuesday, continued during the night.

Almost all parts of coastal Karnataka had cloudy weather till Tuesday afternoon. Almost all the city roads were submerged in standing water and normal life of people was paralyzed. Pedestrians were found wading through knee-deep water in some low-lying roads.

On an average, the region received between 12 and 17 mm of rain. The meteorological department has predicted cloudy weather with spells of rain for Wednesday.
