3 killed in Afghan suicide attack

Kabul, Aug 25 (IANS): At least three civilians were killed and 12 others injured in a suicide attack in Afghanistan's Balkh province on Thursday, police said.

"A suicide attack apparently targeting a parliamentarian in Tajkirgan district," Xinhua news agency quoted police as saying.

The parliamentarian escaped unhurt, he added.
